Asked whether Democrats may choose to boycott the prime minister’s speech, the minority leader of the House of Representatives says that “nobody ever said anything about boycotting,” and then adds with a smile, “Things happen and people schedule… they do.. you just never know…”
Netanyahu seems adamant not to let go of the idea, despite the pleas of staunchly pro-Israel Democrats to back off before it’s too late.
Iran’s nuclear aspirations are too important to be dismissed over the protocol of conduct a foreign leader should stick by in Washington – or, perhaps, the prime minister hopes his stubbornness in the face of the White House will bring in more votes.
