From Officials preparing to raise Palestinian flag at UN

Standing near the still-empty flagpole in the Rose Garden, UN officials and Palestinian diplomats are discussing the last-minutes arrangements for the ceremony, which is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Israel time.
Many senior officials from across the globe are expected to attend — but not PM Benjamin Netanyahu, who is staying in his hotel room a few blocks north to prepare for his speech to the UN General Assembly tomorrow.
