PM says Trump visit to Western Wall ‘destroys UNESCO’s propaganda’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIn his Jerusalem Day Knesset address, Netanyahu says that he told US President Donald Trump that his visit to the Western Wall on Monday “destroyed UNESCO’s false propaganda in one fell swoop.”
Referring to recent resolutions by the UN cultural body that ignored Jewish ties to the city and rejected Israeli sovereignty over the area, Netanyahu says the Western Wall is “our identity, it testifies to the fact that we were here and that we have returned to out homeland.”
“It might take some time, but I have no doubt this absurd spectacle will fail because the truth is stronger than any lie.”
