Police investigating attempted arson at London synagogue

Police in north London are investigating an overnight attempted arson attack on Finchley Reform Synagogue, treating it as an antisemitic hate crime, authorities and community leaders say.
No injuries were reported and damage to the building was limited, the Community Security Trust (CST) says.
Security has been significantly increased at the site, and the incident is being treated as an antisemitic hate crime.
Police say two men attempted to set fire to the building but failed. Police are searching for suspects.

The incident comes amid heightened concern within the Jewish community following recent attacks, including the firebombing of Hatzola ambulances in Golders Green last month and the terror attack on the Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester on Yom Kippur in October, in which two people were killed.
