Police said seeking state witness against minister in aerospace probe

Police are seeking state witnesses in the Israel Aerospace Industries corruption probe who will testify against Welfare Minister Haim Katz, Channel 2 reports.

Katz’s son, Yair Katz, has been arrested as part of the investigation. The Likud minister’s son, 36, who serves in the senior management of the IAI and has been a member of its powerful workers’ union for four years, was arrested on suspicion of coercing employees into joining the Likud party, police have said.

According to the TV report, investigators told a key suspect that if he was willing to turn on Katz then “we have what to talk about.”
