Protest organizers say 170,000 at rallies, cops try to block marches

The Black Flag protest movement estimates in a statement that 170,000 people showed up to demonstrate against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Saturday evening.

The number, which is impossible to verify, is lower than previous turnout estimates they have given for past protests.

In Jerusalem, the main protest has begun to disperse as a rain storm moves in, though many protesters are continuing to rally by marching elsewhere in the city.

Police, trying to contain the marches, scuffle with protesters in some places, videos show.
