Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar is visiting Somaliland, according to multiple reports in Somaliland media.
The Foreign Ministry does not respond to requests for comment.
According to the reports, Sa’ar is meeting with President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi in the capital Hargeisa.
Last month, Israel became the first country to recognize the Republic of Somaliland as an independent state, more than three decades after the African region broke away from Somalia.
