Rocket fired at Israel from Syria lands in open area, IDF returns fire

The Israel Defense Forces says one rocket was fired from Syria at northern Israel a short while ago.

The rocket fire set off sirens in the southern Golan Heights community of Keshet.

According to the IDF, the rocket landed in an open area, causing no injuries,

It says troops are responding with artillery shelling at the source of the fire in Syria.
