Rocket fragments fall in Tel Aviv

After the Iron Dome intercepts rockets over Tel Aviv, fragments fall near some of the city’s trendiest streets.

Tel Aviv resident Denisse Dubrovsky was on her way to buy coffee when she saw the fragments lying on the street before security forces arrive. A minute later, she says, buses were running again and the city had returned to routine.

She noticed people remaining on the street during sirens, and says they do not realize the risk they are taking.

“A lot of ‘tough guys’ are making fun of people for being scared or running for cover, but although we have faith in the awesome Iron Dome, part of why we need to take cover is that pieces of the exploded rockets fall onto the streets if they were intercepted above, and they can still cause a ton of damage,” she tells The Times of Israel.
