UAE ambassador meets with Israel’s chief Ashkenazi rabbi
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Emirati ambassador to Israel has met with the Rabbi David Lau, the country’s chief Ashkenazi rabbi.
The two met over the weekend, with Ambassador Mohamed Mahmoud Al Khajah expressing his country’s respect for Judaism and inviting Lau to visit the United Arab Emirates, according to a press release.
Al Khajah also met in recent days with Rabbi Shalom Cohen, the spiritual leader of the ultra-Orthodox Shas party.
