UK’s House of Lords on lockdown over suspect package

Parts of the House of Lords, Britain’s upper house of parliament, are put on lockdown after police are called in to respond to reports of a suspect package, police and a parliamentary official said.

“We are currently examining the contents of the package,” a police spokeswoman says. A Lords spokesman says the parking lot and parts of the building’s terrace are closed.
