US coalition downs drones over Iraq’s Erbil, Kurdish forces say
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe US-led coalition shot down several drones over Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s northern Kurdistan region, Kurdish forces say, in the second such incident in the city this week.
Kurdish counter-terrorism forces say that “coalition forces downed eight explosive-laden drones over Erbil between 04:19 and 05:25 a.m.” local time, with no damage or casualties reported.
The forces do not say who was behind the attack.
Iran has stepped up attacks on Gulf countries following US strikes on its territory, targeting military facilities used by US forces in the region.
