Yad Vashem says it educated Orban on Hungarian authorities’ cooperation with Nazis
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleYad Vashem releases a statement saying that during his tour today at the museum, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban received a “comprehensive explanation” regarding the cooperation of Hungarian authorities with Nazi Germany under the leadership of Miklós Horthy.
Orban in the past has praised Hungarian wartime leader and Nazi ally Horthy.
The current prime minister has been accused of playing up anti-Semitic stereotypes and is seen as a symbol of the far-right in Europe.
