Yemen’s Houthis claim attack on Saudi refinery

Yemen’s Houthi rebel group takes responsibility for a fire that broke out overnight at an Aramco refinery in Jizan, Saudi Arabia.

A statement from the Iran-backed group’s armed wing says it successfully targeted the facility with a drone, in response to overflights from Saudi UAVs.

The Saudi Energy Ministry said earlier that firefighting teams had extinguished a fire that broke out at the Jizan refinery around dawn. No injuries were reported.

Jizan is located on the Red Sea in southern Saudi Arabia, near the border with Yemen.
