Yesh Din says new plot for Amona settlers not abandoned
After the government offers Amona residents a plot of land in the West Bank to build permanent homes as part of a deal to get them to evacuate peacefully, the Yesh Din anti-settlement group says it will offer opposition to the move.
The government plans to recognize the plot, known as parcel 38, as abandoned, thereby allowing it to take it over, but Yesh Din says it has lined up Palestinian claimants who say they have ownership of the land.
Yesh Din says the move will sink the government plan.
A Twitter account run by the Amona settlers describes the Yesh Din move as “anchoring solution for #amona residents.”
