Man and woman found dead in suspected murder-suicide

Mother and son both die of bullet wounds; Bat Yam police open investigation

A 66-year-old man and a woman said to be about 80 were found dead early Sunday morning in an apartment in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv.

They had both died of bullet wounds, paramedics who arrived at the scene said.

Police said they were investigating the incident as a suspected murder-suicide.

The man was the woman’s son, and police suspect he killed her and then turned the gun on himself, police sources told Haaretz.

He worked as a security guard, the report said.
