Passenger, 60, in serious condition after falling over on Haifa bus

Woman loses her footing as vehicle brakes, is taken to Rambam Medical Center; motorcyclist in his 60s killed in collision with bus in Tel Aviv

A 60-year-old woman was seriously injured Wednesday after falling over on a bus in Haifa.

The bus reportedly braked suddenly, causing the passenger to lose her footing.

Magen David Adom emergency service responders took the woman to the city’s Rambam Medical Center for treatment.

Earlier in the day a motorcyclist, in his sixties, was critically injured when he collided with a bus on Menachem Begin Street in Tel Aviv. He later died of his injuries.

According to FullgaZ Magazine, a website focusing on motorcycles, four riders have been killed traffic accidents since the start of August.

The toll since the beginning of the year has reached 52, it noted.
