Pop star Noa Kirel is still be serving in the army, but she’s finding ways to promote her third English-language single, “Thought About That.”

She was onstage last month at the Miss Universe pageant in Eilat, belting out “Bad Little Thing” and at the Sheba Medical Center on a recent day, making a Tik Tok video with 12-year-old Aya Abecassis, dancing and singing with the cancer patient to “Thought About That.”

This latest Kirel single was produced with a host of US-based songwriters, thanks to her deal with Atlantic Records, signed last summer.

It includes a heavily sci-fi-inspired, “Dune”-like video showcasing Samsung’s new S21+ 5G, with Kirel at the center.

Kirel was cited by The Hollywood Reporter as “Israel’s biggest pop star,” and she’s been garnering plenty of global attention with four MTV EMAs and serving as a judge on Israel’s Got Talent.

She’s also thinking about the kind of message she sends to young women her age and younger:

“I turned 20 this year and it’s so important for my music to inspire young women to be independent and stand up for themselves,” she said in a statement, “especially in relationships.”
