Life sometimes seems to favor certain people and not others. The favored seem to have an easy time in their 9–5 jobs or careers while you struggle to find something that works for you. The truth is, every career comes with its share of challenges. No business just works either. Every entrepreneur has gone through their own journey and discovered what works for them. Zain Khan is proof of that.

Khan is an award-winning network marketing professional with years of experience in his field. Just recently, he was awarded one of the most prestigious awards in his industry. He was one of the nominees who officially received the Million-Dollar Hall of Fame 2021 GO-PRO award. For Khan, this award is a testament to what resilience and determination can do.

Khan’s journey as a network marketing professional began when he was only 19 years old. This was not even part of what he had dreamt of doing when he was growing up. As a child growing up in an Asian-British, middle-class household, Khan learned early on that he didn’t have many opportunities to win in life. Therefore, it was vital for him to pick a career that would make him successful within a short time.

The first career Khan thought of was sports. He had the talent for it, and he knew pro athletes earned good money. However, Khan had not bargained for favoritism and nepotism in the sports industry. Connections spoke louder than talent, and unknowns like him didn’t stand a chance. That’s how his dream career died before it even began.

Still determined to make it, Khan turned to network marketing. He was 19 years old and didn’t have any idea how marketing worked. That was the first lesson Khan learned on his journey. You don’t stop learning. Khan was expected to talk to older, more experienced, professional people than he was if he wanted to make it. So even though it was intimidating initially, he decided to invest in personal development instead of quitting. That has finally paid off in recent years.

Khan’s second lesson was the power of flexibility. No career or person really remains the same throughout the years. In his case, the advantages of pivoting have far outweighed staying at the same spot every single time. When his sports career failed to take off, he looked elsewhere and landed in network marketing. When he found it difficult to connect with people, he invested in education. All of that has contributed to his present success in a big way.

The third lesson Khan’s career reminded him about is the importance of self-belief. This works closely with believing in a higher power and what you do. He sums it up by saying, “Have faith in the one above, have belief within yourself, and have a genuine belief in whatever you are pursuing, then do not side-track.” This formula has worked well for him since the first day he began his career.

The power of commitment to your goals shines through in Khan’s life incredibly, too. You can’t abandon your goals just because life gets hard. According to him, he gave his personal development and career growth 1,000% of his efforts. The way he sees it, everyone has what it takes to succeed. As his success proves, the power to actualize that lies in what you choose to do or not to do.
