Police are still trying to identify a man found floating unconscious in the Yarkon River in Tel Aviv, Army Radio reported Monday.

The man, who was wearing athletic gear and had a music player with him, was found by two passersby on Sunday afternoon.

Magen David Adom services were alerted by two people who said they had pulled the man from the water. An off-road equipped ambulance arrived at the scene on the banks of the Yarkon River and found the man unconscious and in serious condition. He was taken to Ichilov Medical Center where he remains unconscious and on a respirator.

Police expect it may take some time to identify the man but do not suspect criminal motives, Army Radio said.
