The body of a 17-year-old female, likely from Sudan, was found in a south Tel Aviv courtyard by her brother-in-law on Wednesday evening.

The man found the girl dead with multiple stab wounds and stopped a passing police vehicle. The girl reportedly entered the country three months earlier and had been living in the apartment with her husband and brother-in-law.

Magen David Adom staff arrived at the scene on Mesilat Yesharim street and pronounced her death.

Police have opened an investigation and suspect the victim was murdered. They are currently searching for her husband.
