Shtisel fans, rejoice: The long-awaited third season of the beloved series arrives on Netflix on March 25 around the world.
In Israel the season aired on the Yes satellite TV service between December and February. It features nine episodes and picks up four years after the events of the second season.
The award-winning show, created and written by Ori Elon and Yehonatan Indursky and directed by Alon Zingman, centers on the life of the ultra-Orthodox Shtisel family in Jerusalem and stars Dov Glickman, Michael Aloni, Neta Riskin, Sasson Gabai, Zohar Strauss and Shira Haas.
This season also introduces Reef Neeman and Daniella Kertesz.
In other Shtisel-related news, actress Shira Haas — who missed out on a Golden Globe award Sunday for her role in another international hit about Haredim on Netflix, “Unorthodox” — will star in a drama series about the life of Golda Meir, executive produced by Barbra Streisand with MGM.
The series is based on France Klagsbrun’s non-fiction book, “Lioness: Golda Meir and the Nation of Israel,” chronicling the life and career of Meir, from her birth in Kyiv to her American upbringing in Milwaukee, to her role in the formation of Israel and rise to become Israel’s first and only female prime minister.
