Two killed, two injured in southern Israel multi-vehicle crash

Police investigating cause of deadly collision on Route 60 highway in the Negev

Two people were killed and two others wounded in a deadly multi-vehicle crash in southern Israel overnight, officials said Friday

Police said the accident between three cars occurred around 3 a.m on the Route 60 highway near the town of Omer and the Bedouin village Abu Kaf Umm Batin.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said medics declared a 20-year-old  dead at the scene, while a second man, also in his 20’s, was critically hurt and died after being evacuated to hospital.

The other men, also in their 20s, were listed in moderate and light conditions, at Beersheba’s Soroka Medical Center.

Police said they were investigating the cause of the crash.
