Man dies in Sderot fire
Blaze appears to have spread from second to third floor of building
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe death of a man in his fifties was confirmed by Magen David Adom workers early morning Monday, after emergency crews discovered his body on the third floor of a burning building in the southern city of Sderot.
According to initial reports, the fire apparently started in an apartment on the second floor of the three-story building on Yigal Allon Street. The victim was at home alone with his dog, who also perished, in an apartment on the third floor.
Firefighters were able to evacuate all other residents from the building safely and only discovered the deceased after breaking down his door.
