Plane returns to Ben Gurion for emergency landing

An El Al plane that was headed to Verona, Italy returned to Ben Gurion Airport for an emergency landing Saturday morning after tremors were felt during the flight.
The El Al plane was a Boeing 737. It was in the air for approximately an hour before turning back to Israel. The cause of the vibrations was not immediately known.
A state of emergency was declared at Ben Gurion Airport. Rescue crews and firefighters were rushed to the scene when the plane landed, but the landing was safe and routine.
Some 180 passengers were on board the plane. They were transferred to another plane for their flight.
