Soldiers’ graves vandalized in Jerusalem
Police say group of Jewish men burned wreaths at Mount of Olives cemetery, for reasons unknown; authorities searching for suspects

A number of Jewish men are suspected of defiling the graves of fallen soldiers in Jerusalem’s Mount of Olives cemetery.
The group removed wreaths that had been laid on the tombstones of fallen combatants as part of Wednesday’s Memorial Day ceremonies, then vandalized and burned them, police said.
Police said Thursday they were searching for the culprits.
Their motives were not immediately clear.
Officials stressed that the suspects were known to be Haredi Jews by their dress, thereby indicating that the crime did not appear to be nationalistic in nature.
