An Israeli man was in critical condition and another moderately injured after a shooting attack in the West Bank Friday afternoon.
According to initial reports, the two men in their mid-20s were traveling in their car after visiting a spring near the the settlement of Dolev, northwest of Jerusalem, when they were flagged down by a Palestinian man, seemingly asking them for help. According to Ynet, they were shot at point-blank range.
Security forces and paramedics were called to the scene. An IDF helicopter evacuated the wounded to Tel Hashomer Hospital near Tel Aviv.
An MDA medic who was first on the scene said the critically injured man was shot in the upper body and was found unconscious and without a pulse before he was resuscitated and then transferred to hospital for further treatment.
A large deployment of soldiers aided by Israel Police were searching for at least one shooter.

Help us report truthfully on social media
As a multimedia journalist, my job is to take the quality, fact-based journalism produced by The Times of Israel newsroom and make it accessible across every platform — from Instagram posts to podcasts to short-form videos.
This is how many, especially young people, consume news these days. But misinformation is rampant on social media. Our team at ToI produces accurate, responsible short-form reporting on Israel and the Jewish world.
If you believe in the importance of factual social media journalism, please consider joining our reader support group, The Times of Israel Community. Your financial support is essential to sustain responsible multimedia reporting.
