A 15-year-old boy is in serious condition in Ashkelon after being stabbed in a fight over a pack of cigarettes.

The brawl in the city took place on Thursday night. The teen was stabbed by a 13-year-old with a glass shard. The two had apparently been drinking alcohol prior to the violence.

Other teens are believed to have been involved in the fight.

The victim was rushed to Ashkelon’s Barzilai medical center in critical condition. On Saturday he regained consciousness and was taken off a respirator.
