Christian Bale’s done playing the Dark Knight, but he may have another big role lined up: Moses.

The 39-year-old Oscar winner is reportedly being wooed to play the biblical hero, in a film being developed by “Alien” and “Blade Runner” director Ridley Scott.

Hollywood is very into the Exodus these days: A rival film is also in the works, although its fate is unclear now that Steven Spielberg has opted not to direct it. Recent Oscar winner Ang Lee is being courted as his replacement.

The Bible as a whole seems to be having a moment, at least in Hollywood. An American cable series called “The Bible” is garnering big ratings, and Darren Aronofsky, the director of “Black Swan” and “The Wrestler,” is currently making “Noah.”
