Rescue workers responding to reports of a burning vehicle in Jerusalem’s Ein Kerem neighborhood on Wednesday found a body inside.

Magen David Adom medics said it took them a while to reach the vehicle as the flames had to be doused first. When they did, they found a man inside but were forced to pronounce him dead at the scene.

The circumstances of the incident were not clear, but the initial police assessment is that the incident was not criminal, according to the Kan public broadcaster.
