A caregiver arrested on suspicion of carrying out multiple indecent assaults of an elderly resident of a Jerusalem nursing home had his remand extended on Tuesday.
Daoud Omar Abu Eith, 25, was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault and the sexual abuse of a vulnerable person in his care after he allegedly sexually abused a 72-year-old female resident of the Jerusalem nursing home where he worked.
Police believe he may have attacked the woman multiple times over an extended period of time.
The Ofer military court decided to extend the remand of the Palestinian worker for eight days so that police could investigate whether he assaulted other residents of the facility.
According to the Ynet news site, a colleague of Abu Eith witnessed the assault and immediately contacted police.
