Daily Briefing Oct. 25 – Is Israel facing a new set of PR blunders?

Political correspondent Tal Schneider and military reporter Judah Ari Gross discuss possible public diplomacy missteps on Gaza, Palestinian NGOs, and an aviation database

Welcome to The Times of Israel’s Daily Briefing, your 15-minute audio update on what’s happening in Israel, the Middle East, and the Jewish world, from Sunday through Thursday.

Today, Jessica Steinberg hosts, joined by political correspondent Tal Schneider and military reporter Judah Ari Gross.

Gross reports on the comments made Sunday by a former Israeli general regarding the IDF bombing of a tower that housed The Associated Press in the Gaza Strip during May’s conflict, calling it a “mistake.”

He and Schneider then discuss the ongoing public relations hubbub over Defense Minister Benny Gantz’s statement designating six Palestinian civil society groups as terror organizations.

Finally, Schneider offers a peek into her forthcoming investigative story, about an Israeli aviation database that will gather every kind of information about travelers, including their credit card numbers, airport purchases and seat placement.

Discussed articles include:
