Israel’s Tourism Ministry will piggy-back on to Saturday’s Royal wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with an advertising campaign that will run outside Windsor Castle, where the couple will tie the knot, Hadashot news reported Thursday.
The video campaign, which has been shown in the UK and Europe for some time, has been tailored for the event, and suggests the new couple come to honeymoon in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
It will be shown four times every hour for 15 hours outside Windsor Castle on a big screen, where tens of thousands of people will come to participate or watch the wedding.
“The royal wedding in London is one of the most watched events of 2018. That is exactly the place where Israel must be,” Tourism Minister Yariv Levin told Hadashot. “The exposure the unique campaign we will run there will give more to the growth of tourism to Israel.”
Preparations in Windsor, west of London, plowed ahead Thursday with a military dress rehearsal to fine-tune arrangements ahead of the big day.
The practice session saw military marches and a dry-run of the carriage procession, which will whisk Harry and his bride around the town to greet the crowds after their wedding at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
