13-year-old boy dies in Eilat after falling onto PO boxes that collapsed on him

A 13-year-old boy has died after he fell several meters and got caught under a collapsed row of PO boxes in Eilat, the Magen David Adom emergency service says.

Medics found him unconscious after he sustained a severe head injury. Bystanders tried to perform CPR on the boy, whose lower body was trapped under part of the collapsed PO boxes.

Paramedics took the wounded adolescent to Eilat’s Yoseftal Medical Center while attempting to resuscitate him. Hospital staff declared him dead on arrival.

Police say they are investigating the circumstances of the incident.
