4-year-old victim of arson attack improving

A 4-year-old victim of an arson attack suspected to have been committed by Jews has improved significantly, as Israeli doctors continue to treat him and his mother in a hospital outside of Tel Aviv, Channel 2 reports.

Ahmed Dawabshe, who lost his brother and father in the attack in the Palestinian village of Duma last Friday week, suffered burns to 60% of his body. Doctors say that Ahmed woke Friday, a week after the attack, and is fully conscious and able to talk.

According to his grandfather, Hussein Dawabshe, the child asked for his mother and still has no knowledge of the fate of his deceased brother and father.
