Ben Gurion Airport strike called off

A strike at Ben Gurion International Airport planned for Friday has been called off, Channel 2 news reports, after progress was made in negotiations between employees and the airport administration.

Workers protesting employment conditions at the airport had threatened earlier to shut down the airport for 24 hours, forcing flights departing on Shabbat to be rescheduled.

But the airport will now operate normally, and talks between the sides will resume Sunday.
