Bezalel students, faculty to strike over PM pics row

Students and lecturers at Bezalel Art Academy in Jerusalem say they will hold a short strike tomorrow to protest “the violation of freedom of expression” following a row over images of Netanyahu — one showing him with a noose and the second depicting him naked with the same noose over his genitalia.

The school’s management and student union decided during a joint discussion to halt studies for two hours and instead spend the time on an open debate on creativity and freedom of expression, Walla reports.

Lecturers, department heads and the academy’s management will join the strike along with the students.
