Biden avers support for two-state solution despite being unlikely in ‘near term’

US President Joe Biden says he will emphasize his support for the two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict “even though it’s not [feasible] in the near term.”
He has made the prognosis before, though it is unlikely to please the Palestinian Authority, which is looking for him to use the trip to create a diplomatic horizon for peace talks and act more urgently on the matter.
Turning back to his broader itinerary, Biden says, “We have a full agenda over the next two days because the relationship covers every issue that matters to our mutual future.”
“May Israel and the US continue to grow and prosper together for the benefit of the entire world,” he concludes.
