The former president arrived in Israel earlier today for the funeral. Hillary Clinton was unable to attend as she is on the campaign trail in the final stretch before the US presidential elections in November.
Clinton is remembered in Israel for his eulogy at the 1995 funeral of slain prime minister Yitzhak Rabin, during which he uttered the famous salutation “Shalom Chaver” (goodbye friend).
