Commanders ousted over lapses during attack

The commander of an IDF company that was attacked by Palestinians outside the West Bank settlement of Har Bracha last week has been removed from his post after an investigation found serious lapses in his conduct, the army says. Two more commanders were also relieved of their duty.

Two soldiers were lightly injured in the stabbing last Wednesday.

After stabbing the soldiers, the attackers escaped the scene. Initial reports indicated the soldiers’ guns had been stolen, but the weapons, which the soldiers had not been carrying at the time of the attack, were soon found nearby.
