Cop hurt at Damascus Gate stable after surgery

The policemen badly injured in the latest terror incident at Damascus Gate is in stable condition after surgery, medical officials say.

The cop was one of three injured when a Palestinian 19-year-old, Muhammad Said Muhammad from Shuafat refugee camp, pulled out a knife and attacked them when they stopped him and asked to see his ID card. Initial reports indicate the policeman was hit by friendly fire.

The other two policemen were lightly injured by the stabber.
