Egypt to buy 24 French-made fighter jets
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleEgypt signs a massive arms deal with France, including the purchase of 24 Rafale type fighter jets, a multi-use frigate and short- and medium-range missiles, Le Monde reports.
The contract is worth between 4 and 5 billion euros. It was only two days ago the AFP said the negotiations to close a deal to sell the jets were “many days away” from coming to a close.
Egypt signed last week a deal with Russia, according to which Moscow will build a nuclear energy facility for the African Arab state.
