Far-right Otzma Yehudit party will run in election despite pressure to quit
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleItamar Ben Gvir, the leader of the far-right Otzma Yehudit party, says the party will run in the upcoming Knesset elections despite immense pressure to quit by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others.
In a press conference, Ben Gvir says he has received many offers for senior roles in return for giving up a run in the March election, including a ministerial role, a position at KKL-JNF, the World Zionist Federation, the Israel Bar Association — and even a job as an Israeli ambassador.
Ben Gvir says he rejected all the offers and resisted the pressure, and that his Kahanist party will run despite having a very low chance of clearing the 3.25% electoral threshold.
