Father of Adi Avitan visits Oron Shaul’s family
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleYaakov Avitan, the father of Adi Avitan, who was taken hostage in a Hezbollah ambush while serving on the Lebanese border in 2000, visits the Shaul family to offer his support, NRG reports.
Adi Avitan was killed either during or shortly after his abduction.
Adi Avitan’s body was eventually returned along with those of two other IDF soldiers, plus Israeli civilian captive Elhanan Tannenbaum who was returned alive, in exchange for 400 Palestinian prisoners and some 30 Lebanese prisoners.
