Gantz says Likud trying to prevent Knesset from fully functioning

Blue and White chairman Benny Gantz joins his fellow party members in accusing Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Likud of blocking the formation of key parliamentary committees after the new Knesset was sworn in yesterday.

“Likud… is trying to prevent the work of the Knesset. If it isn’t enough that the Knesset hasn’t functioned for a full year, now the also want the new Knesset to do the minimum required work in a time of crisis,” Gantz writes on Facebook, referring to the coronavirus outbreak.

“The moves by Likud are a dangerous precedent for democracy and we’ll fight this with all our strength,” he adds.
