Hamas says Jerusalem stabber was group member

The Hamas terror group claims as its member the Palestinian attacker who stabbed two Israeli officers in Jerusalem’s Old City earlier tonight.

“Hamas mourns its son, the martyr Abd al-Rahman Jamal Qasim from al-Jalazone camp north of Ramallah,” Hamas says in a statement circulated in the group’s official media.

Qasim, 22, attacked two officers near a gateway leading to the Temple Mount holy site, wounding two policemen. He was shot dead at the scene.

“Struggle leads either to victory or to martyrdom,” the statement concludes, repeating a slogan often used by the terror group.
