Hollande: France was attacked for its culture
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleHollande, speaking now, says Obama was the first to call him on the night of the terror attacks over a week ago, telling him the US stood by France in the fight against terror.
“Our two peoples together merged as one,” Hollande says, recalling American solidarity in the wake of the attacks.
Hollande says France was attacked ” for its culture, our way of living as well as our values, our principles. but by targeted France, these terrorists were targeting the world,” echoing Obama’s comments.
