A Palestinian suspected of carrying out this morning’s terror stabbing attack near the village of al-Auja in the Jordan Valley was apprehended a short while ago by troops, the military says.

The suspect, a 16-year-old from al-Auja, allegedly attacked a 24-year-old Israeli who had stopped next to the village for shopping, moderately injuring him, before fleeing the scene.

Following an hours-long manhunt, troops detained the suspect in al-Auja, the army says. He was handed over to the Shin Bet for questioning.
