The IDF announces that it has completed a wave of airstrikes against Hezbollah weapon depots in southern Lebanon.
The weapon depots in Deir Kifa, Shehour, Tayr Felsay, and Aynata belonged to Hezbollah’s rocket unit, according to the military.
The IDF says the arms caches were placed in “the heart of a civilian population,” which it says is “another example of the cynical use by the Hezbollah terror organization of Lebanese civilians as human shields.”
“The presence of weapons storage facilities constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon,” the army adds.
Before the strikes, the IDF issued evacuation warnings for Lebanese civilians in the four villages.
