IDF says it has destroyed ‘significant targets’ in Gaza, attacks ongoing
The IDF says it has attacked “a number of significant terror sites and terrorists across the Gaza Strip.”
“The strikes are continuing even now,” the army says.
One of the targets hit was apparently a nine-story building.
The nine-story structure houses residential apartments, medical production companies and a dental clinic, The Associated Press reports.
Israeli aircraft fired five warning rockets from a drone to alert people of the incoming bombing early Wednesday. Shortly afterward, the jets struck the building again after journalists and rescuers gathered around.
There were no immediate word on casualties.
The high-rise was heavily damaged. Smoke and debris reached The Associated Press’ Gaza office 200 meters (yards) away.
